Ceramic Collars

Introduction

A range of ceramic collars is available for use in investment casting; when positioned to form the top of the pouring basin, ceramic collars eliminate friability in this area and the risk of loose refractory shell being washed into the mould when pouring. They also allow the wax pattern and shell to be more readily handled and form a positive joint when used in vacuum melting.
