Traditional Fluxes for aluminium alloys

The traditional range of Hüttenes-Albertus fluxes are designed to carry out a wide range of specialised metal treatments, including oxide removal, dross separation, hydrogen gas control and improvement of metal structures via the addition or removal of trace elements. In some cases ECOFLUX products can be used as an alternative depending on the type of metal treatment required.

Drossing Fluxes

Opens internal link in current windowDrossing Fluxes At the surface the flux initiates a reaction in the dross which separates aluminium from the dross, thereby increasing the metal recovery from the furnace.

Refining / Cover Fluxes

Opens internal link in current windowRefining Fluxes Fluxes with a low melting point used for melting fine or dirty material providing a fluid, protective cover. Some can be used to remove trace elements or residues from furnace walls.

Degassing / Regassing Fluxes

Opens internal link in current windowDegassing/Regassing Fluxes are designed to control the hydrogen content of the melt. Mainly used in tablet form but also available in powder or granular form.
