Adhesives
In a foundry, there is a variety of practical applications for products that are necessary to assemble and firmly hold mould and core together, seal joints or to perform repairs.
Ceramics
Wide range of ceramic strainers and filters for metal filtration used within the foundry industry and other products including ceramic knock-off cores, discs and ferrules
Cold Box
The starting point of the development of a Cold Box process on polyurethane basis was the fact that the machinery heating required in the Hot Box Process was considered to be a substantial disadvantage.
Fluxes
Most commercially melted metals react strongly with oxygen to form oxides during the melting process. These oxides, along with dirt, oil and refractory particles, etc. must be removed from the metal before casting to avoid defects.
Hot Box
The Hot Box process has been familiar to foundry professionals for 40 years, and still proves its reliability.
Inorganic Binder System
Cordis - The Inorganic Binder System
No Bake process
Synthetic resins have been used for the fabrication of moulds and cores for heavy and individual castings since the sixties. These cold curing resins generally are reaction products of combinations of furfuryl alcohol or phenol and urea with formaldehyde. Variations are based on polyurethanes and resoles.
Refractory Coatings
The coating concept originates from the product engineering sector. The term "coating" is used to describe the surface smoothing process of work pieces.
Release Agents
Since release agents find use in very many casting processes - whether in production of sand cores, sand moulds or in injection moulding of plastic - it is useful to group them according to their main fields of application.
Shell Moulding
The shell moulding (Croning) process eliminated these disadvantages, since - due to the high strength of the synthetic resin binders; a reinforcement of the cores was not necessary anymore.
Foundry Auxiliaries
